The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Warriors Party

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline showcasing divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in strength within the city.

Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the initial group of characters who will split off from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to head next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, attacking the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could assist the party enter locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we discover that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Seekers and Strategists parties.

Fans can expect learning which characters will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
